Spicy Chicken Veggie Burritos Recipe

Ingredients

1 can dehydrated chicken
1 red pepper, sliced and dehydrated
1 green pepper, sliced and dehydrated
1 tsp dehydrated onion
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp cumin
4 large tortillas
2 salad dressing packets (optional)
4 oz cheese (optional)

Instructions

Combine chicken, veggies and spices in bags at home. Cover with water and let sit for 2-4 hours to rehydrate. When rehydrated, place mixture in tortillas with cheese (optional) and salad dressing (also optional) and chow. A tasty quesadilla can also be made by frying the tortillas to melt the cheese.

Backpacking Cornbread

Backpacking Cornbread

Ingredients:

1 box Cornbread mix
2 tsp powdered eggs
1 tsp powdered milk
1/4 cup of water

Directions:
Add together the cornbread mix, powdered eggs and milk into a small or medium size roasting bag. Pour in the water and mix or knead the mixture. Close the bag and place it into a pan with 1 1/2″ of water. Cover pan and bring to a boil for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Open bag (careful of the stream) and remove cornbread.
